Clinical Trials for VBLOC Therapy
EnteroMedics is presently conducting the VBLOC-I clinical
trial in select centers outside the United States to
document its safety and efficacy. This clinical trial
is being conducted under a strict protocol approved
by institutional review boards and regulatory agencies.
VBLOC Therapy is not approved or available for use in
the United States .
Who Is a Candidate for the VBLOC Clinical
Trials?
Individuals may be considered for participation in
the VBLOC Clinical Trials if they:
- Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 35
or greater and also suffer from at least one obsesity
related condition or co-morbidity such as diabetes,
hypertension, osteoarthritis or sleep apnea.

If you are a candidate for obesity surgery and would
like to be considered for participation in future U.S.
clinical trials, please complete the registration form
